Cosette
Cosette is a 25-year-old Bashkir Curly mare—a rare breed known for its distinctive curly coat, which becomes especially noticeable as her winter hair comes in. She joined the SPIRIT herd in April 2025. Cosette brings a wealth of experience from multiple disciplines, including dressage, eventing, and jumpers, and she has been lovingly owned by the same person for nearly her entire life. A student and volunteer favorite, Cosette is adored for her sweet personality and her mischievous sense of humor—most famously her talent for letting herself out of her stall. She’s a smart one! Cosette is generously leased to SPIRIT, and we are grateful to have her as part of our herd.
