SPIRIT is more than just a program, it has become a way of life. SPIRIT has shown this community the kind of effect that animals can have on people——whether they have special needs or just need to feel special.
Confidence comes from accomplishments. Time and again, SPIRIT has given confidence to those who need it most—those with special needs and those who just may be going through a difficult time in their life. Once they gain that confidence from riding, it spills over into everyday life…not just when they are on a horse.
We, as a family, have witnessed this first-hand. Our daughter, Nicole, will be riding 5 years this September. She has grown so much in the SPIRIT program. As she has continued to ride, and progress in her skills, she has gained so much confidence in herself. She SEES how far she has come and it makes her feel good about herself——for a parent, that intangible is priceless and is something we will ALWAYS be grateful for.
BRAVO TO SPIRIT & ALL THE WONDERFUL WORK THEY DO & LIVES THEY ENRICH—-NOT JUST THE RIDERS, BUT THEIR FAMILIES’ & THOSE WHO WORK WITH THEM !! SPIRIT OPEN EQUESTRIAN IS A GIFT THAT CONTINUES TO GIVE….TO ALL INVOLVED !!!
